The Elevator Pitch for the MBA in Public Management

March 11, 2009
By Philipp Mueller

The MBA in Public Management is driven by the believe that the creation of public value needs policy entrepreneurs that are equally conversant in the frameworks, approaches, and tools of the public sector, business, and civil society.

Therefore, we start out by focusing on the classical tools of business administration (General Management). In the second part these tools are augmented with specific public value creation frameworks (Creating Public Value). In the third part (Policy Entrepreneurship), we will focus on policy entrepreneurship, connecting policy making with politics and reflect strategies of positioning our communities in the global context.

The MBA combines a continental European perspective (sessions in Berlin, Brussels, Lausanne, Maastricht, Salzburg, and Vienna) with a global outlook (sessions in New York and Washington DC).
